Simon’s Golf Club congratulates Jeff Winther on his victory at the DP World Tour, Danish Golf Championship

Simon’s Golf Club is proud to congratulate our own Jeff Winther on his outstanding victory at the DP World Tour, Danish Golf Championship, held at Great Northern Golf Course in Kerteminde.

Jeff has served as an Ambassador for Simon’s Golf Club since January 2026, a collaboration that also includes Shipco Transport as a sponsor. His triumph at Great Northern marks his second DP World Tour win — and notably, his first on home soil — finishing just ahead of fellow Dane Rasmus Højgaard.

Before turning professional Jeff briefly worked as a greenkeeper, making this home‑country victory even more meaningful. When asked whether he ever imagined seeing his name engraved on a championship trophy, Jeff responded:

“No! I was never going to be a golfer so this is just insane. I don’t know what to say, I’m in shock! It’s just a joke really, I’m sad we’re not coming back here next year. It’s impossible to rank, just after my kids’ birth I think. It’s amazing and I don’t think it’s sunk in yet, but I’m overly happy.”

He continued:

“I feel a lot of love from the crowds and all the Danes support all the Danes, besides all the other players, but especially the Danes you can feel the love shining through. The crowds carried me all week, it’s been unbelievable.”
