Greenkeeper Update

Dear members,

Greens aeration has been successfully completed. All greens have been top dressed with sand, this makes it difficult/impossible to mow or roll the greens until the grass has grown through the sand. I expect to be able to mow and roll everything in the week ahead, before next weekend. We will also raise the mowing height 1mm as we are head into October.

Also we have contractors on-site next week to carry out the tree-felling/thinning project. The stumps that remain once the tree has been removed will be sprayed blue as “area under repair (AUR)” until such time as they are removed and the grass repaired.

We plan to start fairway and grass pathway aeration next week, this usually takes between 4-6 weeks depending on the weather. Therefore preferred lies will be in place from Monday 29^th September, please see local rule regarding this.
