Veterans vs. Hedeland 2nd June

This is a summary of our recent team match in VB7 on 2nd June against Hedeland Golf Club:

The team this time was identical to the team from last match:

– Pernille Jakobsen
– Ulf Viebke
– Poul Erik Skindballe
– Arne Hansen as well
– the undersigned, Erling Schiøtz

We arrived at Hedeland’s beautiful course to sunshine and a light breeze and were well received by our hosts.
This match was a return match after Hedeland had played with us a couple of weeks ago. On that occasion we won 11-0, so there was no doubt that everyone in the home team was ready for a “revenge match”.

The course was in good condition, though slightly dry in some places which caused a lot of roll and some strange bounces. Everybody had to work hard for each point and this match became more even than the last. However, we managed a 7-4 win which was very satisfactory. However, there was excitement towards the end and Poul Erik had the honour of winning the last match over his opponent on the 18th and final hole.
