U22 – 1. Team Match in Hørsholm
A bit of a dull start
The first team match has now been played against Hørsholm at home.
On Friday April 28th we completed the first of our 2 home matches. It was a pleasure to be playing our own course which is in excellent shape, There were a lot of compliments from our opponents on the course condition.
Last season, Hørsholm won their group so we were well aware that it could be a tough round, but we hoped for a win.
Klover had taken the following to the match: Casper Andersen, Christopher Dyrling and William Barnak. Rosa Barnak was a reserve.
William’s game was up and down and none of the players managed to get a lead on more than one hole. After 5 holes William was 1 up and after 9 holes was 1 down, and so it continued until the 18th hole where it ended in a draw.
Casper was equal until hole 5 and from there it was an uphill struggle for Casper as after hole 12 he was 2 down. Casper made a bit of a comeback but lost the match on the last hole.
Christophers confidence had had a boost after his good result in Greve and after the first 5 holes he was up 5, after 9 holes he was up 7 and the match finished at the 11th hole. After 11 holes Christophers play was 4 birdie’s, 5 par’s and 2 bogey’s.
The final result was 3 – 3 between us and Hørsholm.
Now it is time to focus on the next matches.
The next match will be at home on 11th May at 17:00 against Hillerød. Hillerød will be bringing three players who are all plus handicap and are part of Hillerød’s first division team. On paper it looks like a tough match but anything can happen on the day.
