Our U22 team visited Hørsholm on Thursday 8th June and we were keen to do better than the unsuccessful result Hørsholm received from Simon’s.
Simon’s players for the weekend game was made up of: William Barnak, Casper Andersen and Christopher Dyrling. Rosa Barnak was a reserve and had chosen not to take part, but used the time to take part in a trial game in Smørum with the women’s team.
It started well, and Christopher won his match without any trouble, as his opponent had become ill.
William met the same opponent he had at Simon’s and got off to a super start and was 4 up after 4 holes. This was also the case after 9 holes, everything was looking good. And then sport showed its two faces, not from a good point of view if you are from Simon’s but definitely good is you are from Hørsholm. William lost hole 10, 11 and 12 and was 1 up after hole 14. Hole 15 was lost and everything is equal. At hole 16, William took a strong ball to win the hole, and then it is down to the last hole, a par 5. William is on for 3 and everything seems to be going well, but unfortunately William’s game cooled and the hole and the match were lost.
Casper also met the same player as last time. Casper also got a good start and was 3 up after 6 holes, 4 up after 9 holes. Casper won his match by 6/5, a really good result.
We won the match 4 – 2 and are ready for our last match against Hillerød at home on Thursday 29th June 2017 at 16:00.
