We got  revenge!

On Thursday, June 29th we completed the final game in our group against Hillerød 5-1 at home. It was a pleasure to play our own course which is in super condition and there were a lot of compliments from the 3 Hillerød players. We played course AB.

The following players were on the team: William Barnak, Casper Andersen and Christopher Dyrling. Rosa Barnak was a reserve and had chosen to help our boys in an effort to get a win.

Hillerød was represented with 2 of the same players from our meeting in Hillerød, Jonas Lykke and Nicolai Nøhr-Madsen. Christian Olsen was the new man.

Everyone was prepared and if we wanted to win this match, there was going to be no room for bogey’s.

William met the same player he met in Hillerød, where the result was a defeat of 3/2. Today, William wanted it to be different and was 2 after 3 and 4 after 9 holes. William won his match 7/6. A brilliant performance.

Casper met the player who Christopher had met in Hillerød. The match was all square up to the 6th hole. Casper was 1 up after hole 9. The opponent was 1 up after 12 holes. Casper makes it even on hole 16 ensuring an exciting finish, the same as it had been in Hillerød. At B8, the opponent got an eagle and won the hole. If Casper can win B9 we will get a point, Casper was on the green in 2 and Casper puts the edge of an eagle, the hole was equal with birdie and he lost the match.

Christopher used the first three holes to judge his opponent and the match is completely straight from hole 4 5 and 6 bringing Christopher 3 up, a position that remains to hole 11. On hole 12 (B3), the opponent got a birdie, so Christopher must make an eagle to win the hole, which he did, Christopher was now 4 up and completes his match on the 14th hole, winning 5/4.

An excellent performance from everyone. This is the first time I have experienced 2 eagles in a three match game.

We got revenge and won the match 4 – 2. We finish the group with 5 points and Hillerød can earn 6 points if they win over Hørsholm as they still have to play against each other both home and away.
